The latest book "You Must Win" contains a similar subject of humans should get freed from the Cage of Theology or Dogmatism. My Contention is that "The Earth will be it's own when heavens are destroyed. The book Human Achievement contain the same message, first Know thyself" then only you can know the world, your society, your fellow being, your kith, and kins. I wish that the Book would enlighten the reader with an advise "that when we know nothing of the first Principle, it is truly extravagant to define God, Angels, Heavens, and minds to know precisely why God formed world when we do not know why we pray and raise our arms at our will" It advocates that Society is a growth in time, not syllogism in Logic and when the past is out through the door, it comes in at the windows. It guides to show precisely by what changes we can diminish misery and injustice in the world in which we actually live. A real Human who owns Humanity would automatically reject the story of "Adam and Eve" Let us live what is provided with and regarding the growth of Human life both physically and psychologically let us leave the matter to Scientists and to socialists. Socialist concern must be to lead a life peacefully, ethically, contently after attaining bask biological and social needs and this may contend as my message as an author to the readers in particular and humanity in general.

In The Winning Mindset, Professor Damian Hughes, the acclaimed author of Liquid Thinking and How to Think Like Sir Alex Ferguson, draws on both his lifetime experience and academic background within sport, organization and change psychology to reveal the best ways to create a winning mindset in both personal and professional life. Having worked with some of the top teams in the UK, and watched some of the best coaches in the country at work, Hughes distils the five keys principles that separate the best coaches and teams from the rest: Simplicity; Tripwires; Emotions; Practical; Stories: STEPS. The role of a sports-team leader is fascinating, complex and tough. Fantasy football leagues may convince us that success is all about buying players and selecting a team. In reality, it is about creating winning environments – recruiting, developing and nurturing talent, effectively communicating a shared vision with a diverse collection of individuals, delivering on enormous expectations from a range of stakeholders, overcoming significant challenges, handling pressure and staying focused throughout: a set of challenges familiar to leaders in all sectors.

As an academic or a small business owner, you will need to write grants at some point in your career. Writing them though is not enough, what you also need to know is how to win grants. Much has been written about writing grants, the mysterious special ability called ‘grantsmanship’, so it occurred to me that there is a need to come at this differently and spill the beans. The difficulty in getting a grant, in particular an NIH grant like an R01 in the USA is often described, it is competitive and gets tougher every year. Your proposal therefore must stand out, it must connect with the reviewers. This is true for all types of grants, give the reviewer what they want always. But also, you need to connect to the program officer, the committee that ultimately makes funding decisions and you must take care of a myriad of other details outside of the main event which is describing the “science”. This means you cannot rely on just out-writing the competition, it is more than that as you have to out-think, out-strategize and out-schmooze them. If you have been continually funded for decades that is terrific, but if you want to keep being funded there is no guarantee what got you there will keep you there. What was a hot technology 4-5 years ago is not the new thing anymore, you will need to do something different, but what? You therefore need to not only think about writing great grants, you need to put it into practice and win them. Having written and won grants from the NIH and DOD over the past 17 years (and longer by the time you read this) I possess a valuable perspective. Each grant and study section will be different. Whether a big or small grant it does not seem to make a difference the reviewers will critique your efforts, they may not like it, they may reject your ideas or they may love it. You have some small degree of control until the proposal leaves your hands or more correctly you click ‘submit’. You will need to differentiate your grant from the hundreds of others in many ways, but you cannot change who you are, your history so how you describe yourself and team will also have an impact. You could spend hundreds of hours on your proposal or just a day and the outcome might still be the same. This small book is a summary of my own personal experiences and will provide some advice that will help you learn how to do a better job of winning grants. This book is written by a scientist who writes the grants and develops commercial products; Provides a unique perspective on what you need to write better grants; Teaches you how to continually win grants; This book provides examples from the authors own grant applications; The reader will be inspired to start a company to win small business grants.

This is the revised story of my past real life business, Audio Sound Centre and the strategies I employed which helped my business win the 1997 Telstra Award for the Best Small Business in NSW, category under 10 employees, referred to by many as the Olympic Games Gold Medal of Australian Small Business. Armed with an understanding of my small business secrets, I hope you will go to work on your own small business and improve its current position. Perhaps with enough hard work, you too could win a similar coveted business award in your area. I encourage you to seek out your local awards and enter them. I have written this book from my position as a small business owner. It is written from my real life experiences and is very much an account of “the way I do things.” I have covered both the highs and lows that I experienced in taking my business from its conception through to its sale so hopefully, you will learn something of my struggle and consequently you will profit from my journey. Inside this book, I have detailed my business secrets for you. I would like you to start using them in your own small business—today. Not next week, but today. This is a practical, hands on business guide and checklist developed, tried and tested by me and written from my personal experience, just for you. I have already made the mistakes for you. So please read this book with a highlighter pen in your hand so you can mark your favourite secrets and implement the ideas behind them, right now. Take my ideas and make them your own! You can do it. It’s not easy, but it is possible. When I started my own small business, I read as many books about business as I could get my hands on however most were far from the reality of day to day business life. I did not find a single business book that gave the real perspective I experienced being in a small business of my own.
