Standards are a feature of virtually all areas of trade in products and services. This book examines the conditions under which PPM measures may be adopted under WTO law de lege lata and de lege ferenda. The WTO plays an important role in supporting efforts to achieve international regulatory cooperation (IR C) and to facilitate trade. Artificial intelligence (AI) technologies are transforming economies, societies, and geopolitics.
