These notes give the basic ingredients of the theory of weighted Hardy spaces of tempered distribution on Rn and illustrate the techniques used. The authors consider properties of weights in a general setting; they derive mean value inequalities for wavelet transforms and introduce halfspace techniques with, for example, nontangential maximal functions and g-functions. This leads to several equivalent definitions of the weighted Hardy space HPW. Fourier multipliers and singular integral operators are applied to the weighted Hardy spaces and complex interpolation is considered. One tool often used here is the atomic decomposition. The methods developed by the authors using the atomic decomposition in the strictly convex case p>1 are of special interest.

Author: J. García-Cuerva
Publisher: Elsevier
Total Pages: 615
Release: 2011-08-18
Genre: Mathematics
ISBN: 0080872271

The unifying thread of this book is the topic of Weighted Norm Inequalities, but many other related topics are covered, including Hardy spaces, singular integrals, maximal operators, functions of bounded mean oscillation and vector valued inequalities. The emphasis is placed on basic ideas; problems are first treated in a simple context and only afterwards are further results examined.

Composition Operators on Spaces of Analytic Functions

Composition Operators on Spaces of Analytic Functions

The study of composition operators lies at the interface of analytic function theory and operator theory. Composition Operators on Spaces of Analytic Functions synthesizes the achievements of the past 25 years and brings into focus the broad outlines of the developing theory. It provides a comprehensive introduction to the linear operators of composition with a fixed function acting on a space of analytic functions. This new book both highlights the unifying ideas behind the major theorems and contrasts the differences between results for related spaces. Nine chapters introduce the main analytic techniques needed, Carleson measure and other integral estimates, linear fractional models, and kernel function techniques, and demonstrate their application to problems of boundedness, compactness, spectra, normality, and so on, of composition operators. Intended as a graduate-level textbook, the prerequisites are minimal. Numerous exercises illustrate and extend the theory. For students and non-students alike, the exercises are an integral part of the book. By including the theory for both one and several variables, historical notes, and a comprehensive bibliography, the book leaves the reader well grounded for future research on composition operators and related areas in operator or function theory.

Inequalities play an important role in almost all branches of mathematics as well as in other areas of science and engineering. This book surveys the present state of the theory of weighted integral inequalities of Hardy type, including modifications concerning Hardy-Steklov operators, and some basic results about Hardy type inequalities and their limit (Carleman-Knopp type) inequalities. It also describes some rather new fields such as higher order and fractional order Hardy type inequalities and integral inequalities on the cone of monotone functions together with some applications and open problems. The book can serve as a reference and a source of inspiration for researchers working in these and related areas, but could also be used for advanced graduate courses.

The present volume gathers contributions to the conference Microlocal and Time-Frequency Analysis 2018 (MLTFA18), which was held at Torino University from the 2nd to the 6th of July 2018. The event was organized in honor of Professor Luigi Rodino on the occasion of his 70th birthday. The conference’s focus and the contents of the papers reflect Luigi’s various research interests in the course of his long and extremely prolific career at Torino University.

Introduction to Hp Spaces

Introduction to Hp Spaces
Author: Paul Koosis
Publisher: Cambridge University Press
Total Pages: 316
Release: 1998
Genre: Mathematics
ISBN: 0521455219

The first edition of this well known book was noted for its clear and accessible exposition of the basic theory of Hardy spaces from the concrete point of view (in the unit circle and the half plane). The intention was to give the reader, assumed to know basic real and complex variable theory and a little functional analysis, a secure foothold in the basic theory, and to understand its applications in other areas. For this reason, emphasis is placed on methods and the ideas behind them rather than on the accumulation of as many results as possible. The second edition retains that intention, but the coverage has been extended. The author has included two appendices by V. P. Havin, on Peter Jones' interpolation formula, and Havin's own proof of the weak sequential completeness of L1/H1(0); in addition, numerous amendments, additions and corrections have been made throughout.
