Meteor ological records kept by the United States Weather Bureau at Phoenix since 1895 show that the mean annual precipitation for the 34-year period from 1895 to 1928, inclusive, has been inches. Since this is distributed over 12 months and much of it in the form of light showers, it has little importance in crop production. The average date of the last Spring frost is given as February 10 and that Of the first frost in the fall as December 4, with a frost free season of 296 days.
