With a humorous undertone at times, Sue Ann honestly writes about her dream of traveling solo and the challenges, both mechanically with her RV, and psychologically it has been. Newly retired from her long-time career as a paralegal, she got rid of most of her belongings, packed up her laptop, and embraced a new adventure of traveling the country and writing full-time, adding travel writing to her career as a popular mystery novelist. Not always sunshine and unicorns, her experiences gave her more self-reliance, a new appreciation of nature, and a love for the quirky, interesting, and thought-provoking. I Sleep Around chronicles her first two years on the road and the time leading up to taking this bold step. All while her friends and family thought she had lost her mind.

This book is a collective effort to investigate and problematise notions of time and temporality in European travel writing from the late medieval period up to the late nineteenth century. It brings together nine researchers in European travel writing and covers a wide range of areas, travel genres, and languages, coherently integrated around the central theme of time and temporalities. Taken together, the contributions consider how temporal aspects evolve and change in regard to spatial, historical, and literary contexts. In a chapter-by-chapter account this volume thus offers various case studies that address the issue of temporality by showing, for example, how time is inscribed in landscape, how travellers’ encounters with other temporalities informed other disciplines; it interrogates the idea of "cultural temporalities" in regard to a tension between past and future, passivity and progression; and focuses on how time is entangled in identity construction proper to travelogues.

FBI Agent Sami Pettis is working on a special project, as part of the Advanced Counter Terrorism team when one of the terrorists being held over for trial manages to escape his guard and end up in the room that holds the time travel chamber. Jumping in after terrorist Ahmed Alzaha, Sami finds herself back in the mid-1800s. While she has done time jumps before, she has never had to do three hops in succession, which she would not have had to do if Sheriff Rick Hansen had not happened by to catch her in the act of time hopping. After the third jump, Sami is still back in time and finds herself quite weak, exhausted and being assisted by the handsome Sheriff. Sami finds the blond-haired, green-eyed sheriff arrogant, obnoxious, and way too old fashioned for her tastes…even if she is back in the nineteenth century. Previously Published.
