John D. Wright (1807-1892) was born in Chittenden Co., Vt. He married three times: first to Emily Robison (d. 1831). In 1832, he married Celia Hanks and they had seven children. After her death in 1844, he married Eveline Simmons Emele, a widow with two sons. They had seven children. Descendants lived in Iowa, Colorado, California, Oregon, Utah and elsewhere.
