The first identified ancestor, William Rasco (ca. 1750-1806), married Rachel Harrell, daughter of Phereby (Fereby) and Jesse Harrell of Bertie Co., North Carolina, in 1777 in Bertie County. Their eight children were born in Bertie Co., N.C. and the youngest child in Tennessee or Kentucky ca. 1797. Family members and descendants live in Texas, Tennessee, Alabama, Kentucky and elsewhere.
