Who knew rulers could be so much fun? Little kids do, though they don't always have a firm grasp of how to use their rulers. Along comes How Big Is the Pig?, the perfect introduction to this preschool and early elementary school concept, which invites kids to measure the flocked images with a wooden ruler that is attached to the book by a colorful ribbon. Whether it's a happy pig dancing a jig, a crocodile who naps a while, or a tiny mouse inside her house, the rhyming text gently encourages kids to try their hands at measuring-and an answer key in the back of the book (plus tips on how to measure)--helps them see if they got it all right. The ruler comes housed inside a pocket sleeve that is clearly visible through a window in the cover, and uses both inches and metric units.

This charming version of a well-known chant takes place on the African savanna In this beautifully illustrated rendition of a well-known children's chant, two sisters are looking not for a bear but for a lion—a lion that lives on the African savanna, where the girls go through swishy-swashy long grass, a splishy-splashy lake, and a Big Dark Cave. When they finally meet their lion, they have to run, run, run through it all again to get back home. Young readers will enjoy the playful language and beautiful paintings that reset a familiar story in a far-off part of the world.

Musaicum Books presents to you this carefully created collection of Lewis Carroll's complete novels. This ebook has been designed and formatted to the highest digital standards and adjusted for readability on all devices. Lewis Carroll is best known for his books describing Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass, but he was a prolific author of fantasy and nonsense verse, which are represented here in the complete Sylvie and Bruno. This collection includes the book The Life And Letters Of Lewis Carroll by Stuart Dodgson Collingwood. Table of Contents: Alice's Adventures Under Ground Alice's Adventures In Wonderland Through The Looking-Glass Sylvie And Bruno Sylvie And Bruno Concluded The Life and Letters of Lewis Carroll The Life and Letters of Lewis Carroll is a biography written by Carroll's nephew, Stuart Dodgson Collingwood, and published in 1898. It accidentally started the entire image of Lewis Carroll as a pedophile by deliberately suppressing all the evidence for his sometimes unconventional relationships with women, explaining that some of those women had been little girls… Charles Lutwidge Dodgson better known by the pseudonym Lewis Carroll (1832 – 1898), was an English author, mathematician, logician, Anglican deacon and photographer. Stuart Dodgson Collingwood (1870–1937) was an English clergyman and headmaster. He wrote two books about his uncle, Lewis Carroll.

Sylvie and Bruno is a novel for children by Lewis Carroll published in 1889. The work evolved from his short story "Bruno's Revenge," published in 1867 in Aunt Judy's Magazine. With its sequel, Sylvie and Bruno Concluded (1893), it was his final work for children. The novel has two main plots; one set in the real world at the time the book was published (the Victorian era), the other in the fictional world of Fairyland. While the latter plot is a fairytale with many nonsense elements and poems, similar to Carroll's most famous children's book Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, the story set in Victorian Britain is a social novel. The French philosopher Gilles Deleuze termed Sylvie and Bruno "a masterpiece which shows entirely new techniques compared to Alice and Through the Looking-Glass." Charles Lutwidge Dodgson better known by the pseudonym Lewis Carroll (1832 – 1898), was an English author, mathematician, logician, Anglican deacon and photographer.
