"The Foothills Genealogical Society surname index is a compilation of all the surnames submitted to the Society by its membership as of 31 December 1996 and is an index only. For each ancestor, the submitter was asked to provide a surname/given name, a single event year (birth, marriage, or death), and the city, county, province/state, and country in which the event occurred. Following the surname index are the names, addresses, phone/fax numbers and e-mail addresses of those Society members who completed a surname index registration form, giving publication permission.
