We report the results of searches at the Tevatron for first and second generation leptoquarks and for new charged gauge bosons. The data were collected with the D0 detector from {ital p{anti p}} collisions at (square root)s=1.8 TeV. No evidence for the existence of these particles is seen and mass limits are set. We report new preliminary results of a search for a heavy neutral gauge boson in the process Z(prime)-->{ital ee}, from an integrated luminosity of 105 pb−1. We exclude the existence of a Z(prime) of mass less than 670 GeV/c2, assuming a Z(prime) with the same coupling strengths to quarks and leptons as the standard model Z boson. 13 refs., 5 figs., 1 tab.

We obtain search limits at the 90% CL for new neutral gauge bosons and leptoguarks at the NLC ((square root)s = 0.5 TeV) e e− collider which are beyond the kinematic limit of the machine and whose effects are observed indirectly. We make use of possible deviations from Standard Model expectations in cross-sections and asymmetries that result from new physics, and include the effects of radiative corrections. 10 refs., 3 figs., 1 tab.

This paper summarizes recent results on non-SUSY searches at the Fermilab Tevatron p{bar p} collider. All the analysis are based on the complete data samples recorded by both the CDF and D0 collaborations during the 1992-1995 running period (Run 1), and correspond to (almost equal to) 100 pb−1. Searches for new neutral heavy vector bosons, leptoquarks, dijet mass resonances, and associated production of new heavy scalars together with vector bosons show no evidence for new physics. Consequently, the results have been interpreted in terms of 95% confidence level limits on production cross sections and new particle masses.

Various recent results of new particle searches at the Fermilab Tevatron are presented. No evidence is found for supersymmetric particles (chargino, gluino), leptoquark bosons and heavy gauge bosons in {ital p{anti P}} collisions at (square root)s = 1.8 TeV. Excluded mass regions for each particle are determined.

This book collects a series of papers presented at the XXIV International Meeting on Fundamental Physics. This annual conference is devoted to reviewing current topics in the field of high energy physics. From the Tevatron to the LHC reviews the present status of experiments at large accelerators (Tevatron, LEP, LHC) and deals with selected subjects like CP violation, B physics, glueballs, neutrinos and supersymmetry.

This paper summarizes searches at the Fermilab Tevatron for a wide variety of signatures for physics beyond the Standard Model. These include searches for supersymmetric particles, in the two collider detectors and in one fixed target experiment. Also covered are searches for leptoquarks, dijet resonances, heavy gauge bosons, and particles from a fourth generation, as well as searches for deviations from the Standard Model predictions in dijet angular distributions, dilepton mass distributions, and trilinear gauge boson couplings.

The CDF and D0 collider experiments at Fermilab have searched for evidence of physics beyond the Standard Model of particle physics. We report on the results of searches for extra heavy gauge bosons, quark-lepton compositeness, leptoquarks, and magnetic monopoles in p{bar p} collisions at (square root)s = 1.96 TeV. No evidence of new signals were found, therefore we derive limits on the model parameters.

The discovery reach of the Tevatron in the 1990's for new gauge bosons which originate in a wide range of extensions to the Standard Model is obtained. Most searches make use of the conventional leptonic decay mode of the Z(prime), whereas others require the observation of a dijet mass peak above the QCD background from hadronic decays. 10 refs., 3 figs.
