Three brothers. . . One Empire. . . The House of Rule Damian Rule is an ultra-staid businessman who likes his life just so. He wears his hair cut short; he demands his business affairs be organized, and he insists that his women be impeccably groomed and conservative in both speech and appearance. When he meets Angie Ross for the first time, he sees a hot, beautiful, gothic mess. With her fishnet stockings and spiked leather cuffs, she's wildly inappropriate for his long term needs. But for the short term? She'll do just fine. Excerpt: Angie followed Damian's secretary across what seemed like miles of plush carpet and walked into the office when indicated. She was still in a state of shock; she'd found out in the reception area that he didn't merely work in the downtown high-rise, he owned the building. She heard the door snap closed behind her, and with her heart catching, she faltered just inside the large room. Her gaze was caught and held by dark eyes as Damian leaned against a desk of solid mahogany while standing completely still, obviously awaiting her arrival. His eyes were both sharp and hooded, his body held in a pose of relaxation that seemed inconsistent with the almost tangible electricity that radiated from him in waves. Her pulse pounding, her footsteps stalled completely. Before she could get a word out, he pushed off the desk and began to track her across the office, his muscles corded and his eyes reflecting a sheen of purpose. The space between them narrowed rapidly as his eyes fell to her throat and then scanned her body quickly before lifting to her face again. Any semblance of a smile dissolved as his expression hardened imperceptibly; a raw sizzle filled the air as his brooding features reflected a harsh, atavistic hunger that almost brought Angie to her knees as he stood not six inches away in all his tall, masculine glory. He stood almost indolently for the beat of three seconds before reaching out and seizing her with a dominant force that gave her not an ounce of choice in the matter.

It’s time to break the rules of OCD—and take charge of your life! If you have obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), you may feel like you have to follow a rigid set of rules to successfully get through your day. And if you’re like many others, your OCD rule list may look something like this: You must always control your internal experiences! You must be absolutely certain! The presence of any anxiety means you are in danger! You alone are responsible if you fail to prevent harm! Pay attention to every single thought you have! Everything must be just right! Always keep your OCD hidden from others! These rules can keep you feeling stuck, anxious, and unable to move forward in your life. The good news is there are tools you can use to free yourself from these self-imposed rules—so you can start living a more expansive and flexible life. This book will help you break ALL your OCD rules, and will help you understand why that’s a good thing. Written by an OCD expert, and grounded in evidence-based exposure and response prevention therapy (ERP), this book addresses the seven most common rules that people with OCD create for themselves, and shows you how to break each one—so you can find freedom from the repetitive thoughts, compulsions, and shame they generate. You’ll learn to embrace uncertainty and ambiguity, stop avoiding the things that make you uneasy, and start recognizing your anxiety for what it is—a false alarm system. With practice, you’ll be able to move beyond your OCD symptoms and behaviors, and start thinking more flexibly. If you’re ready to toss the OCD rulebook aside and start living with more freedom than ever before, this book can help you, step by step.

The best manual of spiritual theology which has appeared to date--the most ordered and complete--a true summa of spirituality. This is a work of extraordinary informative value and yet possessing a notable doctrinal solidaity. This encomium of M. M. Philipon, laudatory as it is, does less than justice to this modern classic, now at last appearing in English in a smooth, readable translation and adaptation by Fr. Aumann. For in reality this is three books in one volume. First of all, this is a textbook, a manual whose lucid and orderly presentation of the basic principles of the spiritual life, of the supernatural organism, and of its progressive development recommends it unreservedly for seminarians and other serious students of spiritual theology. As Garrigou-Lagrange points out, the author's order has permitted him to treat all the important questions relative to perfection and to show clearly the basic unity of the Christian life. Thorough and solid as it is, however--firmly based on the chief masters of the spiritual life, St. Thomas, St. John of the Cross, and St. Teresa of Avila--this truly theological synthesis is set forth in clear and accessible form, as its widespread popularity in Spain (four editions in six years) attests. But The Theology of Christian Perfection is perhaps even more valuable as a work of spiritual formation. It is an eminently practical manual of sound advice, counsel, and direction with respect to the increasingly fruitful use of the means, negative and positive, for advancing in perfection. As such, it will be immediately valuable for spiritual directors, an indispensable aid for self-formation, and a work of precious merit for all souls desirous of spiritual advancement.

Obsessions, compulsions and related phenomena occur across a wide spectrum of neuropsychiatric disorders. The boundaries between obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and other psychopathological phenomena, such as delusions, impulsions and habits, remain unclear. Further, the subclinical symptoms of OCD are highly prevalent, causing significant impact but yet are poorly understood. To help address these limitations, recent debates have highlighted the importance of a transdiagnostic approach to psychiatry. This book integrates what is currently known about obsessionality, compulsivity and the boundaries of OCD and related disorders and unveils areas that are worthy of future research. Using a transdiagnostic framework, it provides a comprehensive review of the key issues to understanding the diagnosis and evaluation of OCD and related disorders, as well as describing how the clinician can treat OCD and its manifold presentations. Edited by leading specialists in the field, this book offers a global perspective to the diagnosis and treatment of these disorders.

Being obsessed with positive change and ideas can propel us to extraordinary achievements and can be a fantastic positive driver of change. In the age of AI wired consumers with irrationally high demands, we need to be obsessed with creating smooth, differentiated, relevant, exciting customer experiences and frictionless customer services. Any of those interactions should be driven by customer data - the pulse of every customer’s unique heartbeat, and an organisation that has adopted new methodologies, processes, and technology platforms. In Obsessed, we demystify the complex world of data and sales and marketing technology. We answer questions like: How do you build a data culture and strategy? How can you be more intentional about the technology foundation you choose to improve your marketing and sales engine across the customer lifecycle. How do you create an obsession for the right metrics that focus on value? How do you infuse Artifical Intelligence capabilities into your organization? Can you see GDPR as an enabler? Finally, we need a cultural paradigm shift in dealing with marketing technology and applying it to marketing and sales scenarios. An obsession with long term thinking and customer relationships based on value rather than short term. And that’s when you truly start rebooting your revenue engine.
