This report describes the earliest government-sponsored scientific survey of Yellowstone National Park, which at the time was relatively unknown and still largely unexplored. The report includes detailed descriptions and illustrations of the park's geology, hydrology, flora, and fauna, and offers a glimpse into the history of one of America's most beloved natural wonders.
