This is not your typical Christian-authored book. I'm not a pastor. [Gasp] I'm just a jeans & T-shirt guy who said "Yes" to Jesus. See Acts 4:13 for questions. The title reflects a very simple sentiment I felt as I began writing: There is no one raindrop that heals a dry land: they all matter to the ground that's soaking them in. My prayer is that this raindrop will fall on some dry land in your life and be used by the Rain Maker in bringing about the healing, growth, and/or change that is needed.

Embrace your bravery like the raindrops, they fearlessly fall from the sky. Like the Raindrops is a captivating memoir that speaks to the indomitable human spirit. It's a triumphant tale of how a young entrepreneur, against all odds, found a way to overcome adversity and emerge stronger. The book is an ode to the power of hope and perseverance, and how the smallest things in life can bring us joy and happiness. The author's journey is a testament to the beauty of life, even during the toughest times. Through his struggles, the author learned valuable lessons about the importance of resilience and determination. This heartwarming book is dedicated to anyone who has ever faced a difficult challenge in life. Its message is hope and inspiration, encouraging readers to keep pushing forward, even when the storm clouds gather. No matter what obstacles you may face, always remember that like the raindrops, you too have the strength and resilience to weather any storm and emerge victorious on the other side.

This is an admittedly abnormal book. To confess, I'm not sure if I can legitimately call this a 'book'. This is probably more of a chronicle than anything else. The events and instances recorded in what you're about to read are as accurate as I can describe them and recall them. I've tried to keep things free from embellishment, because the reality is this: when God is involved in the story, you just don't need to do a whole lot more than write it down. If nothing else comes of this, I hope you will see with a new degree of clarity, as I have, that Jesus is the King of and in and through the valley just as much as He is King of and on and over the mountain top.

Reading Old English Biblical Poetry considers the Junius 11 manuscript, the only surviving illustrated book of Old English poetry, in terms of its earliest readers and their multiple strategies of reading and making meaning. Junius 11 begins with the creation story and ends with the final vanquishing of Satan by Jesus. The manuscript is both a continuous whole and a collection with discontinuities and functionally independent pieces. The chapters of Reading Old English Biblical Poetry propose multiple models for reader engagement with the texts in this manuscript, including selective and sequential reading, reading in juxtaposition, and reading in contexts within and outside of the pages of Junius 11. The study is framed by particular attention to the materiality of the manuscript and how that might have informed its early reception, and it broadens considerations of reading beyond those of the manuscript's compiler and possible patron. As a book, Junius 11 reflects a rich and varied culture of reading that existed in and beyond houses of God in England in the tenth and eleventh centuries, and it points to readers who had enough experience to select and find wisdom, narrative pleasure, and a diversity of other things within this or any book's contents.

From ships lost to accidents in warp, space pirates and plague, to colonies facing unexpected rivals, and new lifeforms on the ground, this collection draws on some of the what-ifs and maybes surrounding humanity’s future among the stars. From flash fiction to novelette-length short stories to verse, the speculation runs from the idea of corporate takeovers of colony worlds, to unusual critter incursions, to the simplicity of plague, and how our future selves might cope when facing the gamut of human emotion on an extra-terrestrial stage.
