Proverbs for Kids is a two-volume series of four inspirational books each covering over 80 proverbs designed specifically to teach children Biblical truths in a fun, easy, and entertaining way. These easy-to-grasp concepts captivate the imagination and help kids understand important truths in a language they can understand. These books are especially good for kids between the ages of 5 and 11. This volume in the series shows how God uses things in nature to help explain foundational spiritual truths. As we look at the beautiful nature around us, we see the hand of an intelligent Creator God. The other books in this series are about parts of the human body, earthly creatures, and things around the house. Each of the books in the series contain Teachable Truths and the Take Home Points to explain the proverb(s) in more detail. There are Other Key Verses from the Bible to reinforce the point of the proverb. Many of these key verses of scripture serve as great memory verses and they are contained at the end of each section. God is the greatest storyteller, and throughout the Bible he uses creative and inspiring ways to help us learn Biblical truths. He often uses the "things of this world" such as clouds, the sun, light, darkness, deserts, oceans, the wind, water, animals, other earthly creatures, parts of the human body and simple, everyday things around the house (to name just a few!) to teach us eternal truths. In the Old Testament, God teaches us his timeless wisdom from the Book of Proverbs. Then in the New Testament, Jesus tells numerous stories, called parables, to help teach deep spiritual lessons. He uses common concepts such as farming, money, fig trees, soil, doors, and fishing to teach important life lessons. The practical teachings contained in Proverbs were inspired by God to mankind over 2,000 years ago. The book was written around 920 B.C., primarily by King Solomon, the wisest man who has ever lived- according to the Bible. While that's a long time ago, his teaching principles still "hold" for today!

Sometimes, however, Plum’s exuberance causes trouble, and she just can’t help being naughty. But fortunately, love is such a great thing that even when she makes mistakes, Plum’s family still adores her.

Divine wisdom for your everyday life from the book of Proverbs. In the Proverbs, God offers us wisdom for real life and he shows us Jesus, who was wisdom personified and exemplified. This accessible, absorbing expository guide to the Proverbs by Kathleen Nielson brings these ancient sayings to life, helping ordinary Christians to see what it can look like to enjoy living in line with God's wisdom in the great multitude of everyday situations and decisions we face. Of all of the possible curriculum choices used for the education of our children, the most important textbook of all is that which God Himself presented in the book of Proverbs. This book is the core curriculum. It is God's book on how to live life on planet earth. To disregard this book in the education of our children would be a colossal error. With this Study Guide on the book of Proverbs, you will learn God's basic truths as they speak to the classical philosophical divisions of epistemology, metaphysics, and ethics. You will grapple with the tensions of determinism and human responsibility. You will find an entire system of priorities for life's ethics and purposes. You will find the basic constituents of a biblical social system, as well as principles for sound economics, government, and general business management. The book includes both a proper theology, anthropology, and human psychology. Every education program will give you a system of categories by which you understand life, history, truth, ethics, and reality. Some systems have a semblance of truth, but they are fundamentally compromised because they do not begin with the book of Proverbs or the fear of God (Prov. 1:7).This study guide is the fruit of seven years of daily instruction in the book of Proverbs on the part of homeschooling father, pastor, and author, Kevin Swanson. Each lesson includes: A topical breakdownAn exposition in the form of illustration and applicationAnd, penetrating, application-oriented questions to stimulate family discussionsSpiral-bound. 265 Pages.

Make the Most of Your Time with Your Children On the day of their baby dedication, Eryn and her husband were given a jar of 936 pennies. The jar contained a penny for every week they would raise their child until graduation, and they were instructed to remove one penny each Sunday as a reminder, placing it into another jar as an investment. At some point every parent realizes time is moving swiftly, and they ask themselves, How am I investing in my child? Through personal stories and biblical examples, 936 Pennies will help you discover how to capture time and use it to its fullest potential, replacing guilt and regrets with freedom. Meanwhile, your kids will see how simple choices, like putting the cell phone down and going on a family hike, will make all the difference. Together you will stretch time and make it richer. Craft a family legacy in tune with God's heartbeat as you capture a new vision for your children and learn the best ways to spend your pennies.

ALICE FEENEYS NEW YORK TIMES AND INTERNATIONAL BESTSELLER “Boldly plotted, tightly knotted—a provocative true-or-false thriller that deepens and darkens to its ink-black finale. Marvelous.” —AJ Finn, author of The Woman in the Window My name is Amber Reynolds. There are three things you should know about me: 1. I’m in a coma. 2. My husband doesn’t love me anymore. 3. Sometimes I lie. Amber wakes up in a hospital. She can’t move. She can’t speak. She can’t open her eyes. She can hear everyone around her, but they have no idea. Amber doesn’t remember what happened, but she has a suspicion her husband had something to do with it. Alternating between her paralyzed present, the week before her accident, and a series of childhood diaries from twenty years ago, this brilliant psychological thriller asks: Is something really a lie if you believe it's the truth?
