Excerpt from Proceedings and Addresses: On the Occasion of the Opening of the College Buildings and Dedication of the Chapel, October 18-19, 1893 The removal of Manchester New College from London to Oxford ejected in 1889, when its 104th Session was opened in temporary premises, 90, High Street. The new building was begun in the following year, and the Dedication Stone unveiled on October 20, 1891, by Mr. H. R. Greg, President of the College. The present volume records the proceedings on the occasion of the opening of the completed building in October, 1898. It is pleasant to note that the end of the year 1898 saw the closing of the Oxford Building Account, ' the full amount, for cost of building and endowment of the chapel, having been subscribed.
