Every day we are faced with a myriad of situations and circumstances that require responsible decisions and choices to be made. We risk going through life repeating many of the same mistakes and living a very meager one-dimensional life. But we can rely on the truth of the Word of God to give us the balancing mechanism necessary to stay grounded and on the right path. Don't just seek answers, but seek the truth. Many people have fragmented and compartmentalized pieces of the truth, but this book shows you how to bring it all together: from raising children to relating to your co-workers to getting involved politically. This how-to book will help you to create a firm foundation on which you can build a principled life--P. [4] of cover.

We've reached a turning point, and the stakes are high. Will we succeed in halting climate change and biodiversity loss, and in finally securing health, wealth and wellbeing for all? There is cause for optimism. We already have the tools we need to create a better, more sustainable, and inclusive future. Before we apply these tools, we need to take a step back, look at the whole picture and reach beyond the silos in which we live and work. We need to zoom out before we zoom in to tackle specific sustainability issues. By working together in good faith, we can solve the sustainability puzzle by addressing social, economic and environmental issues simultaneously. Alice Schmidt and Claudia Winkler are pragmatic thinkers and doers in achieving sustainability. Drawing on their combined 40+ years of experience in addressing issues of social justice, climate action, the circular economy, technology and sustainable business, they show why we should be optimistic about sustainable transformation and offer constructive insights on building back better.

In 1979, Dr. Allan Ronald, a specialist in infectious diseases from Canada, and Dr. Herbert Nsanze, head of medical microbiology at University of Nairobi, met through the World Health Organization. Ronald had just completed a successful project that cured a chancroid (genital ulcer) epidemic in Winnipeg and Nsanze asked him to come to Kenya to help with Kenya’s “sexual diseases problem.” That initial invitation led to a groundbreaking international scientific collaboration that would uncover critical pieces in the complex puzzle that became today’s HIV/AIDS pandemic. In Piecing the Puzzle, journalist and documentary filmmaker Larry Krotz chronicles the fascinating history of the pioneering Kenyan, Canadian, Belgian, and American research team that uncovered HIV/AIDS in Kenya, their scientific breakthroughs and setbacks, and their exceptional thirty-year relationship that began a new era of global health collaboration.

This book is not an advocacy for the practice of polygany. What it is advocating is the correct historical perspective of polygany and the reason for its development in ancient African societies, a view that has been historically distorted because of cultural biases and ignorance. Going through school and learning about the subject of history is, to many, the memorization of events and dates without any real understanding of historical events. Although we may know history, we have no understanding about it. For the most part, we don't understand history because of fragmentations caused by distortion and straight-out lies passed on as truth fragmentation due to the evolution of an idea evolving from one thing to another until the original idea or meaning is lost, fragmentation caused from the destruction of civilizations along with the loss of the meanings of the languages and customs and therefore its history, and fragmentations or distortions intentionally or unintentionally caused by an outsider when one looks through their own cultural lens in interpreting a culture that is not their own. However fragmented a piece of history may be, once those fragmentations are put back together as in a jigsaw puzzle, only then will we be able to see the whole picture and have understanding.
