OMEGA MAXIMS & MAXIMUM OMEGA is a major project of reverse-title volumes even by John O'Loughlin's amazingly productive and generally profound standards, and brings his philosophizing in this genre to a climax, not least in respect of a deeper approach to subatomic metaphysics, or metaphysics conceived in subatomic terms, and rising and falling diagonals, with due attention to 'particle' and 'wavicle' differentials, both of which terms he appropriated from Arthur Koestler in the interests of his own uniquely comprehensive philosophy.

Dating from 1996, 'Maximum Omega', the aphoristic sequel to 'Omega Maxims' which puns the word 'maxims', probably does more justice to Truth, or metaphysical knowledge, than any of John O'Loughlin's works prior to this date, with the possible exception of its immediate forerunner. In fact, here at last, with this collection of some 575 maxims, is what could be called the author's magnum omega, bringing to completion, in this particular genre, his quest for philosophical perfection through what is arguably the most ideologically-advanced and logically-rigorous philosophy ever constructed by a self-taught philosopher whose foundations were literary.

Dating from 1996, 'Omega Maxims' is a further instalment of the aphoristic purism to which John O'Loughlin had last committed his pen with 'Maximum Occasions' (1994-5), and constitutes, with well over 1000 maxims, what we regard as one of the best, most elaborate works of its kind by him, with subjects ranging, as usual, right across his Element-conditioned spectra in the fourfold documentation of sensual and sensible antitheses.

This project is comprised of two substantial volumes of maxims entitled 'Maximum Truth' and 'Truthful Maxims', both of which, dating from 1993, extend the philosophy of Social Transcendentalism into new realms of metaphysical insight, including a more comprehensive subatomic theory that owes much to the structural quadruplicities of previous works, including 'Elemental Spectra', by the author. But it is in its departure from anything to do with the 'Clear Light of the Void', to which authors like Aldous Huxley succumbed, that this project stands out as a beacon of evolutionary enlightenment in relation to the 'Holy Spirit of Heaven'.

INFORMAL MAXIMS & MAXIMUM INFORMALITY is another of those 'mirror-image' composite projects by John O'Loughlin which takes his wholly aphoristic approach to philosophy a stage or two further along the path of Truth than did its predecessor in the genre,'Maximum Truth & Truthful Maxims' (1993), adding to Social Transcendentalism the concept of Social Theocracy, and thus broadening out the messianic ideology of transcendentalism to include what was destined, in subsequent books, to become the ideological counterpart of Social Democracy and, in that sense, the political as opposed to religious face of the ideology in question.

OCCASIONAL MAXIMS & MAXIMUM OCCASIONS resembles other reverse-title books like 'Informal Maxims & Maximum Informality' (1993) in its basic two-fold design, but differs from them in respect of the kind of thematic shift, resembling a mini-revolution, that takes place in the second book of this metaphysically deep and ideologically radical project, continuing, as before, the quest for philosophical perfection through Social Transcendentalism.

Maxim Reznik is the alpha king of a land ravaged by war from without and traitors from within. The barrier that keeps his shifters safe from attacking humans is on the brink of collapse, and the only one who can save his kingdom is the wolf who betrayed Maxim years before – his omega and ex-lover – Sasha Volkav. When Sasha severed their mate bond, Maxim never thought he’d see the omega wolf again. Now Maxim has a wife, a kingdom and a mess of responsibilities, but Sasha needs Maxim’s help. While Sasha ignites old passions Maxim swore died years ago, trusting the omega is a different matter entirely. Sasha might be an omega, but he’s not weak by any means. A curse grants him unimaginable powers that come at a high price – they’re slowly killing him. If Sasha breaks the curse he can save Maxim’s kingdom and his own life. The only problem is he needs his ex-mate’s help to do so, and Maxim isn’t the same alpha Sasha remembers. Years of betrayal have hardened Maxim’s heart, and if Sasha can’t gain Maxim’s forgiveness all is lost. Lust sizzles between Sasha and Maxim, but can they repair their severed bond and fall in love again before it’s too late? Contains graphic gay sex and violence.

OMEGANOTES OF AN IDEOLOGICAL PHILOSOPHER takes the ideological philosophy of Social Transcendentalism to a new level of politico-religious insight and resolve, since it's not only a theory of life but a blueprint by means of which such a theory can be practically realized and socially brought to pass in the interests of evolutionary progress.

A four-book volume of maxims and aphorisms, most of which have a metaphysical bias which becomes progressively more pronounced. Originally dating from 1994, 'Occasional Maxims' and 'Maximum Occasions' pave the way for 'Omega Maxims' and 'Maximum Omega', both of which date from 1996, so that there is a two-year gap between each of the reverse-title pairings that, with three other titles written in a different style coming in-between, renders the latter pair somewhat more thematically and even ideologically advanced, relative to what had preceded it within the ongoing evolution of John O'Loughlin's philosophical oeuvre towards its inevitable omega point.

THE MAXIMUM TRUTH QUARTET combines four books of aphoristic philosophy under one heading, beginning with 'Maximum Truth' and progressing, via 'Truthful Maxims' and 'Informal Maxims', to 'Maximum Informality'. Thus this quartet of books begins with a 'maximum' and ends with one, all of which were written in 1993, and thus demonstrate a stylistic and thematic continuity.
