Excerpt from Evaporation Loss of Petroleum in the Mid-Continent Field Investigation has further shown that the gasoline in crude oil evaporates from one-half to six-tenths as rapidly as the same gaso line after being distilled and stored, all evaporative conditions being the same. Many wastes in the oil fields are called necessary. By this is meant that the cost of preventing the waste is greater than the gain through. Saving.
