Abstract: A diet manual incorporating current diet therapy concepts and recent research on nutritional management is presented for use by medical and dietary personnel in health care facilities. Therapeutic and special diets are arranged in 8 tabulated sections: standard hospital diets; pediatric nutrition; modified consistency and gastrointestinal diets; calorie, protein, fat, and sodium controlled diets; and miscellaneous and test diets.
