She was born in Chester Co., Pa. They had eight children, five born in Chester Co., Pa., three in Nelson, Portage Co., Ohio. This couple is buried at Garretsville, Ohio, where they moved about 1803. William Henry Harrison Noah (1829-1919) was a son of George Fox Noah and Sarah Ann Merwin and a grand son of the emigrant ancestors. He was born near Garretsville, Portage Co., Ohio. He married (1) Hester Ann Griggs (1836-1865) 1852. Hester and William lived in Illinois, Missouri and Iowa. William married (2) Mary Catherine Carter (1846- 1921) 1865 at Glenwood, Iowa. She was born near Albany, Gentry Co., Missouri to John Carter and Amanda Thompson. William and Mary lived in Glenwood, Ia., Mitchell Co., Kansas and Graham Co., Kansas. William H.H. Noah and his wives had twenty two children born to them. Descendants live in Kansas, Iowa, Illinois, Colorado, Oklahoma, Ca- lifornia, Oregon, Kentucky and elsewhere.
