Excerpt from The Minutes of the Twelfth Annual Session of the Mud Creek Baptist Association: Held With Oak Grove Church, Jefferson County, Ala., October 18th, 19th, 20th and 21st, 1883 The roll of churches was called and. The delegates brought, forward their letters from the several churches represented, and the assembly then proceeded to ballot for a Moderator and Clerk. Elder T. A. Norwood was elected Moderator and T. M. Parsons Clerk, and, on motion, Brother J. M. Hych was appointed to assist. The clerk in reading the letters.
