This is the true missionary spirit, the spirit of enlarged Christian bene volence. Many are the counterfeit imitations which are every day to be met with in the world, approximating more or less in resemblance to this heaven-born affection, but pure and lovely as its great original, it knows no dwelling upon earth, save in the bosom of the pious and humble disciple of that religion which not only commands but inwardly constrains us to do good to all men as we have opportunity.
