Stewart McIntire (1821-1900) was born in Clark Co., Ohio, a son of James McIntire and Nancy Ann Roebuck. He married Keziah (Gandy) Meacham (d. 1892) in 1845 in Union County, Ohio. This was a second marriage for Keziah Gandy. Her first husband was Ansel Meacham, whom she had married in 1841 in Union County, Ohio. He died in 1843. Stewart and Keziah McIntire were divorced before 1880. Descendants live in Ohio, Illinois, Iowa, Idaho, California, Oregon, North Dakota and elsewhere.

William McIntyre (d.1758), of Scot lineage, immigrated from Ireland to Boston, Massachusetts about 1720, and married twice. He moved to St. George's Fort, Maine in 1736. Descendants and relatives listed lived chiefly in Maine, with some living in the rest of New England, in Nevada and elsewhere.
