El objeto de estudio de este trabajo es demostrar algunos de los multiples mecanismos linguisticos persuasivos que se emplean en aquellos textos publicitarios que tienen como objetivo persuadir a los estudiantes en sus diferentes aspectos. Para ello, elabore un corpus de textos publicitarios recogidos en el recinto universitario de Sevilla, al igual que inclui algunos anuncios electronicos, que llegaron hacia mi por ser yo misma objeto de persuasion. Con esto delimitamos este trabajo analizando un tipo discursivo concreto, el de los textos publicitarios que buscan influir en la conducta de los estudiantes de la Universidad de Sevilla. Partiendo de este ambito concreto creemos que podemos elaborar un conjunto de mecanismos linguisticos con valor argumentativo que puede considerarse como prototipico para la persuasion del colectivo estudiantil. De esta manera, quiero demostrar el poder argumentativo que pueden adquirir las palabras para, por un lado, hacernos ver algo de lo que hasta ahora no eramos totalmente conscientes, y tambien para, por otro lado, poner a nuestra disposicion algunas de las herramientas argumentativas que pueden enriquecer nuestra propia manera de argumentar."
