"Kiss & Tell is a total rush! Perfectly sweet and swoon worthy. I loved every page!" – Julie Murphy, New York Times bestselling author of Dumplin’ A smart, sexy YA novel about a boy band star, his first breakup, his first rebound, and what it means to be queer in the public eye, from award-winning author Adib Khorram Hunter never expected to be a boy band star, but, well, here he is. He and his band Kiss & Tell are on their first major tour of North America, playing arenas all over the United States and Canada (and getting covered by the gossipy press all over North America as well). Hunter is the only gay member of the band, and he just had a very painful breakup with his first boyfriend--leaked sexts, public heartbreak, and all--and now everyone expects him to play the perfect queer role model for teens. But Hunter isn't really sure what being the perfect queer kid even means. Does it mean dressing up in whatever The Label tells him to wear for photo shoots and pretending never to have sex? (Unfortunately, yes.) Does it mean finding community among the queer kids at the meet-and-greets after K&T's shows? (Fortunately, yes.) Does it include a new relationship with Kaivan, the drummer for the band opening for K&T on tour? (He hopes so.) But when The Label finds out about Hunter and Kaivan, it spells trouble—for their relationship, for the perfect gay boy Hunter plays for the cameras, and, most importantly, for Hunter himself.

Congratulations on proving beyond a shadow of a doubt that the first book KISS & TELL was not a bunch of made up lies. I thoroughly enjoyed the additional chapters especially the ones written by Joe Renda, and Frank D'Amico! The controversial documents included reveals not only inside info on KISS, but shows how deranged and delusional alot of the fans really are. Loved reading it.... What's next

Learning the details of others' sex lives is the most enticing of guilty pleasures. We measure our own practices against the "normalcy" that sex surveys seek to capture. Special interest groups use or attack survey findings (such as the claim that 10% of Americans are gay) for their own ends. Indeed, we all have some stake in these surveys, be it self-justification, recrimination, or curiosity--and this testifies to their significance in our culture. Kiss and Tell chronicles the history of sex surveys in the United States over a century of changing social and sexual mores. Julia Ericksen and Sally Steffen reveal that the survey questions asked, more than the answers elicited, expose and shape the popular image of appropriate sexuality. We can learn as much about the history and practice of sexuality by looking at surveyors' changing concerns as we can by reading the results of their surveys. The authors show how surveys have reflected societal anxieties about adolescent development, teen sex and promiscuity, and AIDS, and have been employed in efforts to preserve marriage and to control women's sexuality. Kiss and Tell is an important examination of the role of social science in shaping American sexual patterns. Revealing how surveys of sexual behavior help create the issues they purport merely to describe, it reminds us how malleable and imperfect our knowledge of sexual behavior is.

“Everything begins with a kiss. We are born in our parents’ first kiss and our earliest memories are of our mother’s fond kisses. Kisses come on kisses, and of the kisses that follow none seems more intense than our first romantic kiss. We are kissed by fortune, by love. We shape our most potent desires with our lips. Kisses are the electric gates of love and passion. Like summer lightning, kisses dance, they wriggle, they slip away.” Did kissing originate as a by-product of “pre-mastication,” that is, the transfer of a mother’s soft, prechewed food into the mouth of her infant? Does a pooch—or any other animal—smooch? Can a mother’s kiss symbolically suck out the evil force that is causing her child pain? How is a sniff-kiss different from a mouth kiss? And how does a lipstick’s rosy hue harken back to a woman’s subconscious labial awareness? These tantalizing questions and many more are answered in Kiss and Tell, the first comprehensive book to embrace the subject of kissing in sensuous detail. Author and journalist Julie Enfield offers us a panoply of kisses, from the celebrated French kiss to the unforgettable first kiss. She explores how each of our five senses enhances and informs a kiss, and reveals the sometimes surprising chemistry behind desire. From a fascinating exposé of literary, film, and artistic kisses to a lush landscape of lipstick and iconic pouts, this playfully designed and beautifully packaged book is the ultimate guide to lip reading —and a perfect gift of love.
