Grounding of sea ice on high-latitude continental shelves of the world represent a geologic constraint to safe installation of subsea petroleum faciliaties. To faciliate assessment of seabottom ice scouring on marine design criteria, computerized data-management system has been established for Canadian Beaufort Sea.
