The Tennessee 41st Infantry Regiment was organized November 28, 1861; captured at Fort Donelson; reorganized September 29, 1862; captured at Vicksburg, reconstituted and fought in the Atlanta Campaign, Franklin and Nashville and finally formed Company "E," 3rd Consolidated Tennessee Infantry Regiment.
