Ancestors and descendants of William Northern (ca. 1790/95-1870) of North Carolina, Tennessee and Missouri. He was born in Wilkes Co., N.C., a son of John Northern. He married 1818 in Jefferson Co., Tennessee, Sally Blackburn (ca. 1790/1800-1843). She was born either in Jefferson Co., Tenn. or Missouri?. They had ten children born in Tennessee. After Sally's death family moved from Tennessee to Polk Co., Missouri ca. 1843. William remarried 1850 to widow Mary Hickman. Descendants live in Missouri and elsewhere.
