Henry Adams (ca. 1583-1646) was the son of John Adams and Agnes Stone, the grandson of Henry Adams, and the great-grandson of John Adams. He married Emily Squire, and the family emigrated in 1638 from England to Braintree (now Quincy), Massachusetts. Descendants and relatives lived in New England, New York, New Jersey, Washington, D.C. and elsewhere. Includes ancestry in England to about 1272 A.D. Famous descendants of Henry Adams include U.S. Presidents John Adams (1735-1826) and John Quincy Adams (1767-1848), Massachusetts governor Samuel Adams (1722-1803), and U.S. Representative and U.S. Emassador to Great Britain Charles Francis Adams (1807-1886).

John Adams was born in York (now Adams) County, Pennsylvania, in 1753, probably the son of John Adams, born in 1728 in Lancaster, Ireland. He was a Revolutionary soldier in the Pennsylvania regiment. He married Margaret McGuire in 1798 in Shelby County, Kentucky. He died in 1824 in Henry County, Kentucky. His grandson, William Clifford Adams (1811-1890) was born in Henry County, Kentucky, the son of John and Mary (Polly) Clifford Adams. He migrated to Barthomew County, Indiana, in 1820 with his parents. He married 1) Cinderella Bunnell (1814-1846) in 1831. They had six children. He married 2) Eliza Ann Masters (1825-1853) in 1846. They had three children. He married 3) Elizabeth Gale Cummings Adams (1827-1861), widow of his brother, John G., in 1853. They had four children. He married 4) Sarah Jane Phillips in 1862. They had six children. He died in 1890. Descendants lived in Indiana and elsewhere.

Louis Boulier, a Huguenot, immigrated from France to Phillipsburg, New York and married Antje Konninck in 1697. Henry Bulyea (1720-1802), a grandson, married Deborah Carpenter in 1739 and widow Engeltie (Storm) Yerxa in 1755, served with the Loyalists during the Revolutionary War, and immigrated to St. John, New Brunswick in 1783. Descendants (most used the surname of Belyea, many used Bulyea) lived in New Brunswick, Ontario, Saskatchewan, British Columbia and elsewhere. Many descendants immigrated to New York, New England, Michigan, Florida and elsewhere.
