Handwritten genealogy in 15 parts, bound in 3 volumes, on the descendants of Robert1 Adams (1601-1682), and his first wife Eleanor. Robert1 Adams was born in Devonshire, England and settled in Newbury, Massachusetts around 1640. Volume 1 of this genealogy covers the first 7 generations of his descendants, as well as some information on other Adams families, including some of the descendants of Capt. Aaron Adams (1739-1819) of Rowley, Massachusetts, and Henniker, New Hampshire. Volume 2 contains generations 8 to 11 of the descendants of Robert1 Adams, ancestors of women who married into the Adams family, and the descendants of Adams women. Volume 3 contains extracts from books and records on the Adams family, a family chronology, gravestone transcriptions, and additonal information on the Robert1 Adams family. The genealogy also includes an additional, unbound section (No. 16) with updates to the family genealogy, written between 1903 and 1908.
