William Francis, son of John Francis, was born in 1730 in Ireland. He married Elizabeth in about 1758. They had eight children. They emigrated in 1795 and settled in Fayette County, Pennsylvania. They moved to Jefferson County, Ohio in 1798. He died in 1818. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Ohio, Indiana and Illinois.
