Katie Jones feels isolated and fearful. When nuclear-armed extremists wreak havoc on Sydney, her husband Roger, forces her to flee to a place she doesn't want to be'a glittering new city annexed from their Australian homeland by the seemingly gallant army of a rescuing superpower.
