Can we really know what waits for us in the afterlife? Deceived by the Light... affirms that the Bible alone reveals all we need to know about life, death, and eternity. In the fascinating, mystical world of near death experiences, Betty Eadie's testimony is most extraordinary. In her widely read bestseller Embraced by the Light, she claims she met and conversed with the Lord Jesus Christ and received amazing revelations about spiritual progression, death, and the afterlife. Was Eadie's experience for real? And what about the many other near death testimonies that speak of visits to heaven or hell - are they credible? Should we believe their messages? Doug Groothuis, a well respected expert on new religious movements, takes us to the clear teaching of Scripture for some surprising answers. Along the way he clearly addresses the fears and questions many people have about death and what comes after.

She saw more, perhaps than any other person has seen before and shares her almost photographic recollections of the remarkable details. Compelling, inspiring, and infinitely reassuring, her vivid account gives us a glimpse of the peace and unconditional love that awaits us all. More important, Betty's journey offers a simple message that can transform our lives today, showing us our purpose and guiding us to live the way we were meant to—joyously, abundantly, and with love. Nature has perfected the art of deception. Thousands of creatures all over the world - including butterflies, moths, fish, birds, insects and snakes - have honed and practised camouflage over hundreds of millions of years. Imitating other animals or their surroundings, nature's fakers use mimicry to protect themselves, to attract and repel, to bluff and warn, to forage and to hide. The advantages of mimicry are obvious - but how does 'blind' nature do it? And how has humanity learnt to profit from nature's ploys? "Dazzled and Deceived" tells the unique and fascinating story of mimicry and camouflage in science, art, warfare and the natural world. Discovered in the 1850s by the young English naturalists Henry Walter Bates and Alfred Russel Wallace in the Amazonian rainforest, the phenomenon of mimicry was seized upon as the first independent validation of Darwin's theory of natural selection. But mimicry and camouflage also created a huge impact outside the laboratory walls. Peter Forbes' cultural history links mimicry and camouflage to art, literature, military tactics and medical cures across the twentieth century, and charts its intricate involvement with the dispute between evolution and creationism.

Praise God I was born and raised in a place and time which my extended family had little. There was never enough food, and clothing was sparse. I grew up without a father, though notwithstanding, having many females in the family, there were always men around. In this continual scenario, I was able to see what sin really is and how it takes advantage of the deceived, eventually taking their lives. I completed an online seminary course and improved my knowledge of God's Word. I held church services in my home weekly, for over ten years. I have led many people to Christ and counseled them concerning how the deceiver was trying to rob them. I pray that God remembers that I shared the love he shares with me.

Angelica Garnett may truly be called a child of Bloomsbury. Her Aunt was Virginia Woolf, her mother Vanessa Bell, and her father Duncan Grant, though for many years Angelica believed herself, naturally enough, the daughter of Vanessa's husband Clive. Her childhood homes, Charleston in Sussex and Gordon Square in London, were both centres of Bloomsbury activity, and she grew up surrounded by the most talked-about writers and artists of the day - Leonard and Virginia Woolf, Roger Fry, the Stracheys, Maynard Keynes, David Garnett (whom she later married), and many others. But Deceived with Kindness is also a record of a young girl's particular struggle to achieve independence from that extraordinary and intense milieu as a mature and independent woman. With an honesty that is by degrees agonising and uplifting, the author creates a vibrant, poignant picture of her mother, Vanessa Bell, of her own emergent individuality, and of the Bloomsbury era.

It has been prophesied, over and over in the Bible. They will masquerade through this world as beacons of enlightenment, promising freedom and self-fulfillment to all who would listen to their message. Some are willing messengers of their Master's will, while others are unwitting victims themselves, fooled into believing that peace and prosperity can only come by uniting the world under one government. It sounds so peaceful and loving. Governments and religions are coming together for the goal of bettering humanity. Humanitarian efforts are seemingly underway, under the guise of helping the poorest among us. It's no wonder that some of the kindest of us can fall prey to these lies. Some even turn to New Age religions in hopes of finding joy and harmony in the world. You've heard the propaganda at every level. From the brainwashing of our children, to the most popular entertainers of our time, even our Presidents have been known to serve the goals of the New World Order. Unfortunately, the best among us can be deceived if we don't take a closer look. In this book, you will learn more about the Luciferian agenda. There are those amongst us who are actually serving a much darker power, while purporting to be messengers of light and hope. You will learn of some of the movements that have been shaping world politics and economics, and shifts in world religious thought. The influence of powerful occultists and dynasties of families can be traced back to very frightening origins. Clayton Traylor is a Birmingham, AL resident. He studied Political Science at the University of Alabama and minored in History. After leaving school, he has pursued several entrepreneurial ventures, especially ecommerce websites. This has given him the time and freedom to pursue his true passion for writing.
