Peter Coan was born in about 1695 in Worms, Germany. His father was Johannes Coan. He emigrated in 1715. He married Hannah Davis 8 December 1726 in East Hampton, New York. They had twelve children. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts.
