Investigating the complex interplay between tectonics and sedimentation is a key endeavor in modern earth science. Sequence stratigraphy represents a new paradigm in geology. The principal hypothesis is that stratigraphie successions may be subdivided into discrete sequences bounded by widespread unconformities.
