DESCRIPTION: No one ever notices Janie, and she thought she was totally okay with that. She’s the willowy one the can blend into the background. But when one of her friends drags her to her first boxing class to let out the pent up feelings Janie won’t acknowledge, she finds that can’t escape the notice of her MUSCULAR BLACK BOXING INSTRUCTOR. Will Janie get the attention & RELEASE she needs? EXCERPT: “Oh, hey Janie,” he said, smiling easily, his lips stretching back over white teeth. “This is for you,” she held out the envelope with the check, feeling discombobulated. Maybe it was because she was still in school clothes, today a blue pencil skirt with a white and purple blouse tucked in, emphasizing the nonexistence of her waist and making her feel like she was whispering when she was walking. His eyes traveled over her brazenly, the way he knew she wanted, as he took the envelope. “I’m really glad you like the class,” his eyes looked into hers intently, his fingers brushing hers and lingering. She took a breath and stepped toward him, into his space. “Me too.” She stood there for a moment before her confidence wavered. He saw it happen and suppressed a laugh as she turned and tossed over her shoulder. “See you in class.” He watched her float out of his office and a tremor went through his thick, large body. The class went especially well that day, he thought. All of the women were improving in form and all had returned from the first session that he’d offered. Today, he introduced kicks, and they took to it gladly. Melissa had the most natural of them all, but then, she had the most anger of them all. The little one had a fair amount too, but even so he couldn’t explain what about her it was that drew him to her. It was like she was a light and he was the moth, but to all appearances it should have been the other way around. He felt her following him back to his office after class, having dawdled and waited until the rest of the women had filed out. Melissa walked off without a backward glance, too. He felt her slip into the office behind him before he turned, and she backed against the door so that it closed and the lock caught and it was just them in the dark, small space. He felt her small hands loop around his waist and pull him against her, small and birdlike, but with a deeply insistent strength. It stopped there and he was puzzled, was this all she wanted? No, this was all she could ask for. She could show him other things though. He felt his pants being tugged down, down around his ankles, felt kisses and a tongue whispering up his legs. He trembled, holding onto the wall for support.
