The Annual Egyptological Bibliography has been in existence for well over fifty years. The first volume was published in 1947 under the aegis of the International Association of Egyptologists. This volume was the first published under the editorship of L M J Zonhoven and contains bibliographic details and short descriptions of almost all the books published on Egyptology in 1991. Since 2001 the AEB has only been produced in an online format.
