Abstract: A reference text for food and nutrition researchers, nutritional anthropologists, health care professionals, and epidemiologists provides a comprehensive historical summary of all nutrition research undertaken in Kenya. The 19 sections of the te xt cover a wide variety of topics, including: food intake studies; the composition of Kenya foods; clinical aspects of protein-energy malnutrition; the nutritional status and development of different age groups; vitamin and mineral deficiencies; nutritional status and infection; morbidity and mortality data; biochemical studies; nutritional interventions; organ-specfic disorders; food technology, agricultural, and toxicological studies; studies on various Kenyan sociological subclasses; and specific studies on women.
