Allah invites us to observe His creations which include animals. Everyone is fascinated by animals, especially children. In Islam, animals have rights just like us. There are many animals that are dangerously close to extinction and need to be protected. It is up to us to protect these animals and we must start by taking care of our environment. Allah s Zoo is a full-coloured book that invites children through rhyme to learn about the many wonderful animals that share this world with us.

A novel of the Afghan War, authentic, boots-on-the-ground, TATTOO ZOO comes from a veteran of three-plus years in the war--first as a Green Beret, then later years as a freelance writer/photographer embedded with US Army infantry units. This is the story of the courage, camaraderie and sacrifice of the men of the fictional platoon of the title, as these GIs fight a fierce Taliban in a nowhere piece of picturesque real estate called Wajma Valley, while battling a politically correct four-star command determined to prosecute the Zoosters for war crimes or simply leave them in the valley to die.

How do violent jihadists use language to try to persuade people to carry out violent acts? This book analyses over two million words of texts produced by violent jihadists to identify and examine the linguistic strategies employed. Taking a mixed methods approach, the authors combine quantitative methods from corpus linguistics, which allows the identification of frequent words and phrases, alongside close reading of texts via discourse analysis. The analysis compares language use across three sets of texts: those which advocate violence, those which take a hostile but non-violent standpoint, and those which take a moderate perspective, identifying the different uses of language associated with different stages of radicalization. The book also discusses how strategies including use of Arabic, romanisation, formal English, quotation, metaphor, dehumanisation and collectivisation are used to create in- and out-groups and justify violence.

While Islam, the world's second-largest religion, is the most obvious legacy of the Islamic Empire, the political and scientific contributions are equally formidable. Islamic Empire addresses these and other important connections to our modern world.
