I did not find this work conducive to my good health or peace of mind, so accepted an offer of a cousin to be general assistant in a large fruit raising enterprise.' I worked for him for one year, closing January 1, 1885, part of the time as superintendent at one of his orchards. The addresses given are those sent in answer to the request for a permanent address. Theological Seminary May 4th, 1887, and was ordained on the a4th day of the same month, by a Congregational Council in Spring field, Mass. At that time I was placed in charge of two chapels of Hope Church in this city, one on Eastern avenue and the other on White street.
