The reason I am writing this book is because it has never been properly given credit to the real cradle of the Who’s success: San Francisco. The concerts the Who played at promoter Bill Graham’s Bay Area venues made them grow exponentially and unified them as a band at a time that guitarist Pete Townshend recalled as artistically and financially draining. San Francisco held the band together, gave it confidence and the right input that made it become what it is known for today. The two Winterland concerts in 1968 and 1976 are pivotal, in that 1968 is the one in which the most interesting experimentation took place, while the 1976 performance is considered the band’s Zenit by everyone that was there.

With eyes open in self-realization, we transcend. Our world is awakening in an evolutionary shift of frequency, rising out of suffering to an as yet unknown spiritual terrain. It is a magical time. This is an imprint traces one woman’s journey of love, loss, identity, and spirit—one poet’s voice resonating with the collective consciousness that joins us all. www.nejoudalyagout.com

"The teachings in this book concern Virupa's Treasury of Dohas. Virupa is one of the eighty-four mahasiddhas, the Indian masters who practiced meditation according to the Vajrayana or tantric Buddhist path and achieved high levels of realization. The teachings in this book on the Mahasiddha Virupa's mystical songs were conducted over the course of several years by Khenpo Lama Migmar at the Sakya Institute in Cambridge, MA. The classes were then transcribed and adapted to book form"--

Everybody sooner or later comes to crossroads where the path of life divides and you must turn one way or another. This book is based on the timeless wisdom of Vedanta, ancient Indian spiritual jewel, that leads you to examine who you are, who God is, and what the world is. In a systematic and down-to-earth manner, Vedanta questions all your taken-for-granted assumptions so that you can see for yourself what has not worked in your life so far. This book starts out with basic facts but it quickly dives deeply in life’s fundamental paradoxes. It is a kind of quick guide for serious students who are keen on exploring those issues as a means of finding solution from suffering and life’s complexities. The ultimate goal is to find the knowledge that frees you from further dependence and feelings of inadequacy and lack. This book is based on traditional Vedanta and it is written by Vedanta students, Paul and Carol Bahder, in the tradition of Swami Dayananda, who is the world’s foremost Vedanta authority. Use of Sanskrit words written in parentheses after English allows the reader to effortlessly learn technical language, if he or she wishes to. It is a Vedanta reference that invites to be visited over and over again.

An outlier in many ways, this book focuses on what is typically not observed, nor consciously searched in our lives. We know more about becoming, however, more significant in life's enrichment is the unbecoming. While the former shapes a self-oriented life-style, the latter emphasizes other-centric behavior. You can pivot to a better life, lasting peace, tranquility, and satisfaction with your life-goals if you practice unbecoming. Unbecoming provides the most rewarding life style and satisfaction with how you are invested you life for yourself and for the good of others.

The subtitle of this book is “Impermanence as the Key to Wisdom.” Actually the word “wisdom” occurs only infrequently as in the expression “the arc of evolution leads to the goal of wisdom-compassion non dual” for every sentient being. In days gone by, Catholic universities especially used to feature wisdom as one of the primary goals of their curriculum. Wisdom as a feature of higher education seems to have fallen out of favor. I’m not clear on why that is, except that once upon a time, philosophy & theology used to be enthroned as the Queen of the Sciences. Not beheaded quite, but certainly dethroned, she now serves more like the scullery maid in the Castle of Technology. Whatever the case may be, I’m not talking about “wisdom” as the West has typically understood it. My explication of impermanence is about one of the many folds the universe takes to crease the fabric of its infinitely varied manifestations. I have adopted the spiritual technology of the Buddha to do this. Therefore, my approach is the rather eastern, specifically Tibetan, viewpoint of what “wisdom” means. Nevertheless, I try my best to explain the methodology from the Buddha’s toolkit in terms a contemporary western reader will not find foreign.

The reason I wrote this book was to make available stories that prove it is not too late. I had discernment that I should write short stories and mix various topics with both humor and eternal consequences. On October 30, 2012, I was on an elevator flirting with several women. I walked off that elevator with an idea: a book about flirting. During the first week of November 2012, I asked Jesus to give me ideas for a book. In 48 hours, the Holy Spirit gave me 130 ideas for a book. Sixty weeks and 950 hours of work later, I have a complete manuscript. the Bible says I'm just a filthy rag. I'm not a preacher because I'm not called and would be unworthy. I'm not a teacher because I would have no patience, and I'm not a speaker because I'm very shy with large groups. Therefore, the printed virgin*. Maybe I'm an explainer. I prefer to explain my faults and sins rather than point at others. There is a fine line between being judgmental and attempting to explain the truth. I once was told from an old-fashioned "fire and brimstone" preacher that he did not judge people, but people judged themselves with their actions. If U are truly told by "the Son of God" to give someone a message, U better do it. U are not going to like your life for being disobedient. However, U may temporarily not like your life for being obedient. It is a strange dichotomy in the dilemma of life. We have to not wither but have planted seeds in the good ground of life to withstand the persecution. I truly hope those who may feel offended by my humor or Bible's truths . . . will understand that I'm speaking from my heart and only want to help, and I'm incapable of expressing the right words at the right time in person. Please remember I'm in this struggle too. Just because I have written a book . . . does not mean I am exempted from hell. A walk with Jesus and temptation from the devil is a daily battle. I need your prayers. I'm a long ways from where I want to be in Christ. Larry
