This book is written to help you understand how to wrap your heart around God. This is my life story on how I grew to wrap my heart around God through Jesus Christ. Like most of us, I accepted Jesus Christ as a child and was patted on the back and told I was good to go. So I went on with my life thinking I was good to go, only to find out that I had no idea how to live a godly life in this world. I failed over and over, trying to fit in. I did some good things and a lot of bad things. I even went to church trying to fit in, only to find out I was missing something. I knew Jesus, so what was I missing? What I have found out over the years is that this world cannot give us what our heart desires. It doesn't matter what we try to do; we just cannot fit in. Like most of you, I knew I was missing something. I knew Jesus, but I still was missing something. So in this book, I will explain what I was missing and how I got there. It is a journey that took me over fifty-two years to figure out. I love God and you too much to keep to myself what our Lord put in my heart to write to you. What I was missing was a relationship with Jesus Christ. It is through a relationship with God, through Jesus Christ that we can have peace in this world. A relationship takes time to build and fully develop. It is only through us working on that relationship that we grow to understand what true love is. It is an eternal relationship where we walk in love in this world. I pray that you open your heart to the words God put in my heart to write to you to help you wrap your arms around Jesus so you can find what you have been missing.

The revered author's classic work that examines the four types of human love: affection, friendship, erotic love, and the love of God.? In this work Lewis examines four varieties of love, as approached from the Greek language: storge, the most basic form; philia, the rarest and perhaps most insightful; eros, passionate love; and agape, the love of God, the greatest and least selfish. ?Throughout this compassionate and reasoned study, he encourages readers to open themselves to all forms of love—the key to understanding that brings us closer to God.? "There is no safe investment. To love at all is to be vulnerable . . . draw nearer to God, not be trying to avoid the sufferings inherent in all loves, but by accepting them and offering them to Him; throwing away all defensive armor. If our hearts need to be broken, and if He chooses this as the way in which they should break, so be it."? In Four Loves, C. S. Lewis explores love to help you · Strengthen your interpersonal relationships · Understand the different between needed pleasures and appreciation pleasures and need-love and gift-love · Care for the people in your life, avoid pitfalls, and improve your relationship God The Four Loves holds a mirror to our current society and leaves no doubt that our modern understanding of love is heavily misunderstood.

Wisdom, knowledge, and understanding are similar to finding a treasure chest full of diamonds and nuggets of gold. How can anyone not take advantage of such an abundance of wealth? In the midst of so much confusion, one needs to take the time to believe that there is wealth in the word of God and from his people to overcome such daily adversaries. We are challenged in our everyday lives, but may you take that first step of faith living for God and in helping others with love where there is failure. I know many books have been written with different opinions and advice by different writers about God and life. As the author of this book, Ive tried to give some simple wisdom and understanding in so many areas of our lives, making it simple to understandand, of course, with some sense of humor. As one who goes alone through the maze of life, sometimes it requires us to learn quickly in order to find the key to the cross. So where advice isnt available, we are tempted, get off course, and learn the hard way, which gets more complicated if we become stubborn. Just like the whole armor of God protects every part of our spiritual and physical bodies, taking some good advice and motivation will help us progress as a child of God. For those who love to make things possible by taking advice, may this book help you to change your route and save you time. There are over six thousand thoughts of my personal sayings, which can be used as a text starter for a sermon or a conservation piece for inspiration. Please enjoy them; youve struck it rich with some great wisdom.Joe Cervantes.

Where do you live—truly live? You may have a street address. You may think of your childhood home. But your real home, this side of heaven, is your heart. Your heart is home to your soul and your emotions as well as your thought life. Your attitudes, habits, and dreams are found there. At Home in Your Heart: Inviting Christ into Every Room is written for women of all ages, backgrounds, and stages of life. Each day in this sixty-day devotional by Carol McLeod includes an essay on the thought for the day, a heart inspection, prayer, and words from Scripture. Topics include: Is Anybody Home?; Blessed by the Begats; A Song at Midnight; Wear God Out; and many more, all offered with Carol's characteristic humor, love, and affection. If you are a Christian, Jesus lives in your heart with you, no matter what condition it’s in. If there are problems, however, He wants to clean until His hands bleed. Carol invites you to walk through the rooms of your heart to identify the issues that Christ is shining His light on. “Jesus wants to paint your heart the color of white snow,” she says. “He will gently move around priorities, set things out for the trash man, and replace every outdated attitude with His unconditional love and inexpressible joy. He can take a home that has been literally demolished by the storms of life and rebuild it into a palace fit for a king.”
