For fifteen products prices have been obtained. The list includes the great staple products of American agriculture, and the summary gives a fair picture of the relative prices of these products. In 1891 the relative price as a whole stood at being a fall of about 3 per cent since 1860. The course of prices throughout the period from 1860 to the present time is shown in the following table, where the prices from 1861 to 187 8 are expressed in gold.
