Newly wed Jalesia Anna Brantz Dubois; wife, mother, daughter, and fiery evangelist for the Lord, has been through many challenging situations in her young life. From great heartaches, disappointments, and heartbreaks, Jalesia has always managed to bounce back from her fiery trials with faith in knowing that her trials are only to make her spiritually strong. However, when Jalesia is suddenly faced with her latest rounds of challenges, when her much loved and beloved husband, Derrick Curtis Dubois, is discovered and un-covered for being less than what the newly appointed man of God should be. Jalesia is devastated, frustrated, humiliated and irritated. Her womanhood is shattered, her pride battered, and her faith greatly rattled. In spite of the love from family and close friends, Jalesia finds it impossible to simply "bounce" back from this latest attack from the enemy. Hurt, bitter, and disappointed beyond words or imagination, Jalesia can only shake her head in disbelief and wonder, "What Manner of Love is this?"

Perhaps the friends that you thought were true turned out to be enemies. In such times did you ever stop to consider God and how much He really loves you? In this book I will share with you how I came to the realization that God loves me, in the hopes that you realize just how much He loves you too. This book is dedicated to my friends going through chemo and radiation and others who, like me, suffer from a chronic affliction. Sometimes we don't give God much thought or attention until we need Him. Then, we go through all kinds of conniptions about whether He will hear us and help us because we know what our attitude toward Him has been like. And, there it is: He still loves us. There are 31 days worth of stuff in this book. They say it takes 30 days to break and make habits. You get an extra day to lock it in. LOL If you are reading the paperback version, there are pages at the end of each devotion called Love Notes on which you can write prayers and thoughts. People will be praying for you. God will use wherever we are when we finally pay attention to Him to show His love toward us and give us another opportunity to fully belong to Him and be more...be His son, be His daughter - forever.

Many sincere, Bible-believing Christians are Calvinists only by default. Thinking that the only choice is between Calvinism (with its presumed doctrine of eternal security) and Arminianism (with its teaching that salvation can be lost), and confident of Christ's promise to keep eternally those who believe in Him, they therefore consider themselves to be Calvinists. It takes only a few simple questions to discover that most Christians are largely unaware of what John Calvin and his early followers of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries actually believed and practiced. Nor do they fully understand what most of today's leading Calvinists believe. Although there are disputed variations of the Calvinist doctrine, among its chief proponents (whom we quote extensively in context) there is general agreement on certain core beliefs. Many evangelicals who think they are Calvinists will be surprised to learn of Calvin's belief in salvation through infant baptism and of his grossly un-Christian behavior, at times, as the "Protestant Pope" of Geneva, Switzerland. Most shocking of all, however, is Calvinism's misrepresentation of God, who "is love." It is our prayer that this volume will enable readers to examine more carefully the vital issues involved and to follow God's holy WordÂ--not man's teachings. "The first edition of this book was greeted by fervent opposition and criticism from Calvinists. In this enlarged and revised edition I have endeavored to respond to the critics." --Dave Hunt

The command to love is central to the Gospel of John. Internationally respected scholar Francis Moloney offers a thorough exploration of this theme, focusing not only on Jesus's words but also on his actions. Instead of merely telling people that they must love one another, Jesus acts to make God's love known and calls all who follow him to do the same. This capstone work on John's Gospel uses a narrative approach to delve deeply into a theme at the heart of the Fourth Gospel and the life of the Christian church. Uniting rigorous exegesis with theological and pastoral insight, it makes a substantive contribution to contemporary Johannine scholarship.

The second edition of A Catalogue of Vocal Solos and Duets Arranged in Biblical Order serves as a companion volume to A Catalogue of Choral Music Arranged in Biblical Order (Second edition, 1996, and supplement, 2001, both published by Scarecrow Press). It is a necessary tool for the church musician to coordinate music with the scripture readings and/or the sermon topic and a valuable aid to the vocal soloist seeking a work using a particular biblical text. The work serves as a working document for the church musician, soloist, or voice teacher. Titles are arranged in the same order as found in the Bible. Each entry contains title, composer, voice range/type, and publisher information. Two indexes are also included: a title index and a composer index.

If You Love God's Word You Will Love This New Testament! The Disciples' Literal New Testament sets you free from our artificial 460 year old chapter and verse structure, replacing it with paragraphing that reflects the flow of thought in the original Greek writings. Paragraph headings make that flow of thought explicit to you, speeding your understanding of the NT books. This translation retains the writing style of the apostles themselves, rather than transforming their Greek ways of writing into an elegant or contemporary English writing style, as has been beautifully done so many times. It is the same translation as the author's New Testament TransLine, first published by Zondervan in 2002. Now you can read the New Testament as the original writers intended it, and see it with a clarity formerly available only to those who could carefully study their Greek New Testament. You can even see the difference in writing style between Matthew, Mark and Luke! Used along with your standard Bible version, you will profit from both methods of translation. *Easily grasp the relationship of the whole and the parts of each book with the big-picture overview outlines that use the words of the original author. *Gain quick insight into the flow of thought from descriptive paragraph headings that summarize the main point of each paragraph in its context. *You can visually follow the apostles' thinking because the 'Intelligent Paragraphing' visually displays their main and subordinate thoughts. *The hindrance to your understanding caused by our artificial chapter and verse structure is eliminated by paragraphing based on the Greek writings. *You will more fully appreciate the minds and thinking patterns and intent of the original writers because the translation corresponds more closely to their words and their grammar and their sentence structure. *Deepen and expand your understanding of the New Testament by meditating on the notes containing alternative renderings, explanations of what is being said, and different views of the meaning.
