This is a print-on-demand edition of a hard-to-find report.Production of high-quality water is a vitally important ecosystem service in the interior Columbia River basin (ICRB), and there is concern about the maintenance of this water supply for domestic, agricultural, industrial, recreational, and ecosystem uses. Water quantity and quality are an important component of habitat for depleted salmonid populations in the ICRB where a multi-agency effort is underway to restore salmon, trout, and char listed as threatened or endangered. An active program of salmonid restoration is ongoing in the Entiat River sub-basin, During spring 2007, the authors began testing a pilot water quality monitoring strategy using multi-parameter data-logging instruments.
