Emigrant ancestor of this family was Joseph Preston Yadon (1756-1843), who was born in Dublin?, Ireland. He came to America during the Revolutionary War. He was a son of Jacob Yadon and Elizabeth Proctor. He married Mary Susannah Pennybaker (1763-1838), daughter of Jacob Pennybaker and Christina Dotterer in 1782 in Berkley Co., West Virginia. Family lived first in Virginia and sometime between 1801 and 1802 moved to Grainger Co., Tennessee. They had nine children born in Virginia, and three in Tennessee. Descendants live in Tennessee, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Colorado and elsewhere.

William Worsham was probably born in England before 1619. Before 1640 he came to Virginia. He probably had married his wife Elizabeth by 1646. Thomas Rogers and his eldest son migrated to America in 1620 on the Mayflower. Thomas was born ca 1586-1587 probably in Dorcetshire or Wilshire. He married Grace __?__.
