This selection of practice questions is designed to help third-year medical students studying for their psychiatry shelf exam. An easy-to-read review, it contains over a hundred questions that span the range of subjects covered on the exam. There are many books available for content review, but very few provide numerous practice questions for exam prep. This text should be used as an adjunct during a psychiatric clerkship. These are the most up-to-date high-yield questions, written by third-year medical students from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School during their own time on the wards. The questions and answers were reviewed by fourth-year medical students, psychiatry residents, and attending psychiatrists to ensure completeness, accuracy, and relevance to the exam. Each question follows a short vignette about a situation the student might face, followed by multiple choices. On subsequent pages, explanations are provided to show why the answer is correct as well as how the alternative answers are not the best choices. While the entire class of 2017 submitted questions, overarching credit for this learning supplement goes to Hanan Khairalla, MD; Meriam Naqvi, BA; Varsha Radhakrishnan, BS;Claire Sathe, BA, JD; Heather Wurtz, BA; Erin Zerbo, MD; and Petros Levounis, MD, MA.

Family businesses prosper by pursuing unconventional strategies. Because they are values-driven and think very long-term, they take approaches not popular with current management fashion or most companies. That is the key to their competitive advantage. Family businesses must find ways to simultaneously serve business needs and family goals, to safeguard economic interests and strengthen personal relationships. Both are equally important, yet they require very different priorities and principles. As a result, successful families in business must think paradoxically. They must find insights that single-purpose enterprises need not contemplate. They must dare to be different. Family business is very personal and very culture-particular. As such, two fundamental insights have emerged from IMD’s research and teaching experience with enduring family firms: 1. Individual responsibility is the most important ally to change; 2. Best practices are less important than fitting solutions to the specific family business context. Family business requires a different governance system, but one that can nonetheless be controlled. Building on insights from the world’s premier family business executive education course, this book offers the Unconventional Wisdom needed to leverage the strategic and cultural uniqueness of a family business for enduring success.

This book is a lively exploration of the amazing revelation known to Mormons as the “Word of Wisdom.” It counsels us how and what we should eat to reach our highest potential, both physically and spiritually. New and surprising insights are presented through the perspective of what has been proven to be the healthiest human diet, a way of eating supported both by history and by science: a whole food, plant-based (WFPB) diet. WFPB vegetarian diets have been scientifically proven to both prevent and cure chronic disease, help you achieve your maximum physical potential, and make it easy to reach and maintain your ideal weight. In this book, you’ll find the stories of dozens of people who are enjoying the blessings of following a Word of Wisdom diet, and you’ll get concrete advice on how to get started! You will discover: What we should and should not eat to enjoy maximum physical health. How food is intimately connected to our spiritual well being. Why Latter-day Saints are succumbing to the same chronic diseases as the rest of the population, despite not smoking, drinking, or doing drugs. How the Word of Wisdom was designed specifically for our day. How you can receive the “hidden treasures” and other blessings promised in the Word of Wisdom. Why eating the foods God has ordained for our use is better not just for our bodies, but for the animals and for the earth. You may think you know what the Word of Wisdom says, but you’ll be amazed at what you have missed. Learn why Mormons all over the world are “waking up” to the Word of Wisdom!

The centrality of the King James Bible to early modern culture has been widely recognized. Yet for all the vast literature devoted to the masterpiece, little attention has been paid either to the scholarly scaffolding of the translation or to the erudition of the translators. The present volume seeks to redress this neglect by focusing attention on seven key translators as well as on their intellectual milieu. Utilizing a wide range of hitherto unknown or overlooked sources, the volume furnishes not only precious new information regarding the composition and early reception of the King James Bible, but firmly situates the labours of the translators within the broad context of early modern biblical and oriental scholarship and polemics. Contributors are James P. Carley, Mordechai Feingold, Anthony Grafton, Nicholas J. S. Hardy, Alison Knight, Jeffrey Alan Miller, William Poole, Thomas Roebuck, and Joanna Weinberg.
