The Duchy of Freid is targeted as the final country in Zaibach's violent conquest. As the Revolutionary Army gathers in Freid to protect the country and its child Duke, Van is forced to reign in his feelings and keep his fingers from Dilandau's throat. Meanwhile, Hitomi feels a strong calling as she crosses Freid's borders, and a consuming vision reveals some of the secret behind Escaflowne's past. It will take the power of both the Revolutionary Army and Freid itself to combat Zaibach when the inevitable battle begins. Van, Hitomi, and Dilandau must also prepare psychologically for the attack -- Zaibach's strongest warriors bring more than battle prowess to the field.
