Five bills were discussed at this hearing: (1) S. 1050, which would allow the court to accept voluntary services and gifts and bequests; (2) H. Testimony included statements and prepared statements from the following: U.S. Senators Cranston, Jeffords, Simpson, Specter, and Thurman and individuals representing the University of Texas; Veterans' Employment and Training, Department of Labor; Reserve Affairs, Department of Defense; Paralyzed Veterans of America; AMVETS; Disabled American Veterans; Department of Veterans Affairs; National Veterans Affairs and Rehabilitation Commission; Office of Personnel Management; American Legion; Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States; U.S. Court of Veterans Appeals; and Department of Justice.
