This is the moving story of William J. “Bill” Reidl. He grew up as a German in a village in southern Hungary, came to America in 1920, worked hard, and lived the American dream. He was a humble carpenter and raconteur with a self-effacing sense of humor. More importantly, it is a love story—his love for his wife and how he dealt with her descent into Alzheimer’s for decades, his love for his children, and above all, his love for his grandson.
